Crafts are highly dependent on the artisans’ ability to not only produce work but also create visibility and become known outside their inner circles and communities. This can be quite challenging, especially when it comes to international exposure.
Craft microeconomies generally operate on a local to national scale, with artisans rarely having the opportunity to travel abroad to showcase and promote their work.
This project provides aid to artisans from all over the world so that they can promote their creations at international exhibitions and other events, allowing them to increase their target audiences. DFFWAC is deeply committed to building up careers, and ensures the curating, production, development and communication components associated with these events.
