The incredible myth of our times is when people understand that they cannot live on an isolated island.
Island-based female craft communities are conditioned by a very specific context, which is geographically determined, unique in numerous aspects and developing in a relatively closed ecosystem.
The Oceans programme creates a series of site-specific actions focused on these communities. Through research, the collection and systematization of data and the definition and implementation of design oriented projects, they strive to preserve and innovate the work of these women-driven craft clusters, providing sustainability and resilience, without loss of identity.
